Biography

Dario Nardi, Ph.D., taught at UCLA from 1998 to 2015 (Program in Computing, Anthropology, and Honors). He holds a doctorate in systems science. He recorded EEG (and in smaller subsets fMRI) while participants performed various tasks and reported patterns associated with self-reported Myers–Briggs preferences.

He presented this work in Neuroscience of Personality (2011) and related Radiance House publications. He described the findings as preliminary and based on modest sample sizes.

Representative Works

Reputation

Nardi is frequently cited in MBTI communities as a neuroscience-oriented supplement to type theory. His work has not established MBTI categories as replicated brain biomarkers.

Frequently asked questions

Does Nardi prove INFJ is neurologically real?

No. His work reports patterns in small samples aligned with self-reported type preferences. It is exploratory evidence some readers find suggestive—not a diagnostic standard or replication-backed proof of sixteen fixed brain types.
